Know Before You Rent

IMPORTANT: Not every community along 30A allows rental golf carts. Check the Availability Map below to see which areas are golf cart friendly and which have restrictions.
Always check with your property manager before renting. Community rules can change, and some HOAs update their golf cart policies seasonally. When in doubt, give us a call and we’ll help you figure it out.
Requirements

Who Can Drive?

Our golf carts are classified as Low-Speed Vehicles (LSVs) and are street-legal on any county-maintained road with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or lower — that includes all of 30A!

  • Must be 21+ years old – Valid driver’s license required
  • Valid auto insurance – Proof of insurance required at pickup
  • Seatbelts at all times – All passengers must be buckled
  • No bike paths – LSVs are not allowed on bike paths at any time
  • Children must use car seats – Five-point harness or rear-facing seats required

Road Rules on 30A

Understanding the difference between county and private roads is key. Here’s the quick guide:

GREEN Road Signs

County-maintained — golf carts allowed (if 35 mph or under)

BLUE Road Signs

Privately maintained — check community rules first

Street-legal means: headlights, tail lights, turn signals, rearview mirror, windshield, reflectors, parking brake, seatbelts, and a current registered tag. All of our carts come fully equipped.

Return Gas Tank Full: We will deliver your cart with a full tank and you should return it to us full to avoid an additional $50 Refill Fee.

Deposit: Some rentals may require an additional deposit that is refundable upon return of the cart in good working order.

Yes. Our carts are classified as Low-Speed Vehicles (LSVs) and are fully street legal on any county-maintained road with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or lower. That includes all of CR 30A.
Look at the road signs. GREEN signs mean the road is county-maintained — golf carts are allowed if the speed limit is 35 mph or under. BLUE signs mean the road is privately maintained — check with the community for their specific rules.
No. Highway 98 has a speed limit above 35 mph and is not legal for Low-Speed Vehicles.
No. Low-Speed Vehicles are not allowed on bike paths at any time.
You must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance. These are state requirements for operating an LSV on public roads.
Yes. All passengers must wear seatbelts at all times. This is a state law for LSVs.
Any child who would normally require a five-point harness or rear-facing car seat in a regular vehicle is required to use one in our golf cart as well.

Gas. The EZGO L6 Express has a reliable gas engine. No range anxiety, no charging needed. Just fill it up like a car when it gets low.
Plenty far. The gas engine gives you a range that easily covers multiple days of cruising around 30A without needing to refuel. When you do need gas, any regular gas station works

A few — including Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach, WaterColor (rentals), WaterSound (behind gates), Seaside HOA (brick streets), and Prominence — have restrictions or bans on rental golf carts. Always check with your property manager before booking.

Yes. You must have a valid auto insurance policy. Our golf carts are registered and tagged, but the driver’s personal auto insurance serves as the primary coverage while operating the vehicle.
